Summary: i,m 5"10 and the shower in room 135 is way to low. at 71 years young to go out the back door is way to hard to open.BAR; Bar is to high,the foot stand are to low and the lights at the bar in front of the TVs makes no sense.There are not enough lounge chairs on the beach and not enough of the cabanas(there only 3).Dinner was great except no bread or salad with the meal for the price.And you need to pack the bocce ball court so you can actually enjoy it.

Summary: The AC was a split unit and didn't get cold even down at 62 degrees. The room was muggy. Also, the picture shows a normal bathroom, but the tropical double queen has no tub and a sink in the bedroom. You have to brush your teeth in the bedroom. Weird. Lastly, they removed the hot tub.

Summary: Absolutely loved this place. A little gem we found as we were driving. Decided to come in and take a look and booked straight away for a few days. Will be returning next year

Summary: The resort itself was beautiful. Really felt like a caribbean vacation. Spent a week in February, they said the resort was fully booked but never felt crowded. Always found a lounge by the pool or waterside. The fire pits at night were very nice - would have liked music or some entertainment in the evening once in awhile. But overall a great place.

Summary: We had an incredible time at the Islander! We were expecting a regular big hotel on the beach kind of stay, but The Islander offers bungalow-style accommodations with private lanai/patios for every room! It made the place feel so much more chill. The grounds were beautiful with abundant landscaping, palm trees, and tons of seating options to lounge on and off the beach.
